2025 Closing & Year End Results

On September 28th, the Ladies Club held our Closing Event (Las Vegas Scramble). 45 Ladies attended the event and enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner after golf.

 2025 - KAY BUNA MEMORIAL ECLECTIC

The 37th Eclectic was held Sept 6th and 7th with a field of 30 golfers. The weather was perfect and the competition close. On Sunday, September 7th, Kay would have been100!! Barb Secco and several Buna family members joined us for dinner and Barb provided a delicious birthday cake to celebrate Kay. 


Saturday net results had Cathy McAlpine with 68, followed by Charlyne Tees with 69 and Sophia Park with 70. They were the final group out Sunday. Jan Hollett, in the penultimate group, improved several holes to win the trophy with a 2-day eclectic net score of 62. Most family had to leave prior to the trophy presentation so Donna Buna did the honours and presented the keeper trophy to Jan with the Kay Buna album on display. Jan's name will be engraved on the plaque.

Cathy McAlpine was runner up after improving her Saturday score by 5 for a 2-day eclectic score of 63.


The lap prize is awarded to the person with the best net score on Saturday who doesn't win a prize on Sunday and this year's winner was Pam Clermont with a net 73 on Saturday. She was presented the 2025 divot tool by Jeri Santarossa:

The Buna family provided several fantastic draw prizes. Pat Gagne won the camping chair donated and presented by Gord Buna. In recognition of her mom's 100th birthday, Donna Buna gave two lucky winners $100 bills when their names were drawn - Darlene Jones and Marnie Devlin

 2025 Blaylock Club Championship

On August 9th and 10th, 24 golfers competed at the 102nd Blaylock Bowl. On Saturday, Sophia Park carded a 85 from the Red tees, giving her a 6 shot advantage over 2nd place Michelle Hanson (91). Close behind with 92 were Terry Van Horn and Jan Hollett. Those four were in the final group on Sunday golfing from the Combo tees. The Sunday competition between Sophia and Terry was tight and both scored 87; however, Sophia was named Club Champion with a two day total of 172 and has now won her 7th championship! Family members Judy Davidson (S.G. Blaylock's granddaughter) and Janis Bower (Elsie Buchanan's daughter) presented Sophia with the Blaylock Bowl:


Runner-up, Terry Van Horn had a two day total of 179 and club captain, Jeri Santarossa presented the plaque: 

With a two-day net total of 137, Rose Katnich was awarded the 47th Elsie Buchanan Low Net Trophy by family Judy Davidson and Janis Bower:



















This was the 50th anniversary of the Francis Lauriente Rose Bowl for least putts over two days. Michelle Hansen was presented the trophy with a two day total of 58 putts:
